Hi there! Welcome to our forum, created exclusively for the members of Mothering As A Career Club. Mothering as a Career Club (MACC) is located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Our club is a social and support group for mothers. Through friendship, common experience, and shared information, we grow as individuals and as mothers. This forum will be used to discuss club happenings and activities as well as parenting and other interesting topics.
Several of the forums have limited access (we want you to feel safe posting things so we lock all personal and child-related forums) so don't worry if you can't see everything. Once you are a registered member, you'll be able to see ALL the different forums and topics. But just so you can know what all we offer, here are a list of the current categories within our forum:
News & Announcements - This section lists the FAQ, news & announcements about the forums and an introduction thread.
Club Happenings - In this section we discuss current club events - like playgroups, Mom's Night Out and other activities.
Parenting - In this section we talk about anything to do with our children and parenting! There are specific categories for discussions of each age group of kids.
Everything Else - Pop culture, movies, books, music, recipes and anything else random is discussed here.

Using the Forum - If you're unsure how to navigate the forums, please check this list here. It's pretty informative. It explains how the forums work, how to send messages and attach pictures, among other things. If you still have a question, please post it in the Suggestions/Questions thread and someone will answer it.
Current Moderators & Administrators - These are the people you want to contact if you're having any problems or issues. If you click on their name, it will take you to their profile page where you can send them a PM (Private Message) which they will respond to as soon as possible.

Currently, none. Once we have more members using the forums, I might recruit moderators to help me manage different sections within the forums.
Member Ranks - Ranks are figured by how many posts you have made and are displayed under your username. Our current member ranks are:
0-5 posts: Registered Member
6-10 posts: Newbie
11-25 posts: Junior Member
26-50 posts: Senior Member
51-100 posts: Silver Member
101-200 posts: Gold Member
201-300 posts: Platinum Member
Over 300 posts: Super Member
(There are also Administrator & Moderator ranks for the people who run the forum.)
Rules - We only have a few simple rules here that we hope you will follow. They are as follows:
1. You must be a current member of MACC to join the forum.
2. Do not irritate, flame or otherwise harass any members. If you have a differing opinion than someone else, discussion and questions are fine - arguing and anger are not! Respect other members and treat them the way you would like to be treated. If you have an issue with someone or if someone is harassing you, please send a PM to the administrator.
3. This is a family friendly forum so please don't post anything nasty. If you're posting something that could be touchy or questionable, please make sure to mark it accordingly before you post it.
4. Please get approval for ALL advertisements through a moderator/administrator first. We do this not to be mean, but so people won't be spammed with ads.
5. Most importantly, please enjoy your stay here and have fun!
